Ride for a Cause: Sales Rain provides assistance to Cabulihan Elem. School
After the success of the Ride for a Cause last February 12, Sales Rain launched its second charity event for the year.
Collaborating once more with Mio Nation Makati and Makati Elite, Sales Rain travels to Quezon Province in the intent of providing assistance to the Cabulihan Elementary School last Saturday, June 24th.
Admin and Facilities Manager, Mr. Billy Espina led the rest of the team and riders to a 5 hour drive to Brgy. Cabulihan Pitogo, Quezon Province. Over 285 students from levels Kinder to Grade 6 were given sets of school supplies inclusive of art materials, paper supplies, and writing instruments that they are required to have depending on what level they are.
“Sana wag kayong magsawa tumulong” is a common response among beneficiaries, says Sir Billy. This response is what motivates him and every member of the team to continue spreading benevolence in the country.
In addition to this, he also said that it doesn’t matter who among those they have helped are more well off than the other, what matters is that they’ve somehow inspired the kids to do their own part of sharing when the time comes. He adds that the company and the team is very grateful for the guidance of the Lord almighty as they continue to spread goodwill across the country.
When asked on how they look for communities and schools to help, Sir Billy says that it’s a collective decision between the company and its partners. More often than not, members suggests location or communities they are familiar with. June of last year, the team visited one of their member’s alma mater in Laguna and donated 7,500 notebooks and other school supplies.
More and more companies are partnering up with Sales Rain in helping those in need.
